To conserve the decoration of one of the finest parts of Palazzo Te the previous electrical system to discourage pigeons was removed from the entablature around the vault; bird control spikes were removed from the 12 stucco figures in the triangles of the lunettes; any inconsistent deposit was eliminated from the whole of the upper strip of the entablature and the under-arches of the 6 lunettes, including dust, cobwebs, pigeon excrement, etc; holes left by the spikes were filled; fragments of flaking stucco were consolidated in the upper part of the entablature; any minor lifting of the paint film was consolidated.
