As part of the refurbishment of Palazzo Te and to renew the methods of providing information to visitors, Titian’s ‘Portrait of Giulio Romano’ was given a new room, which appears at the start of the tour and was inaugurated on 9 April 2010.
Both lighting and exhibition methods were fully renewed. The painting by Titian was rehung to show it off to its best advantage, while modern information techniques now provide a useful background in preparation for the tour of the Palazzo.
State of the art graphics and a multitouch screen complete the new look, bringing the information about the Palazzo, Giulio Romano, his portrait and Titian in line with the most modern exhibition techniques.
