The City Museum offers the visitor a selection of elegant sketches “a china” by Guglielmo Calciolari. The exhibit is organized in the Trionfi Superiori room in San Sebastiano Palace and offers new hypothesis on the evolutional phases of San Giorgio castle and San Sebastiano Palace. There is an introduction of antique prints, exemplified by Mantova paper from the 400s-800s. The graphic studies by Calciolari permit us to observe an unknown Mantova from the past, almost fairytale-like, and to understand the profound transformations with surprise
